Institutional Architect

In practice, this means designing an organisation's core story, its shape, and its role in the world — from its founding purpose down to how it's structured, what it does, and how it shows up. Sometimes that means starting from nothing: founding a new institution, a subsidiary, or an initiative from first principles. Other times it means stepping into something that already exists but has lost its way, and helping it find a sharper, more purposeful shape — however far that needs to go.

And not every project needs a primary architect. Sometimes the role is more senior counsel — advising the founders or leadership already holding the pen, drawing on experience they don't yet have in-house.
